What is ClickUp?

ClickUp is a cloud-based collaboration and project management tool suitable for businesses of all sizes and industries.

Why use ClickUp integration?

With the ClickUp app, you can:

  • link Qase test cases to ClickUp tasks

  • create a new task in ClickUp when you file a defect during a test run in Qase

  • Link a test run in Qase to the ClickUp issue. ClickUp issues and Qase defects are synced.

How to install ClickUp?

  • Click "Apps" in your Qase workspace:

Here are the steps you need to follow to install the app:

  1. Click the ClickUp card, then hit "Install now"

  2. Log in to ClickUp, if you are currently not

  3. Click "Connect Workspace" to grant access to ClickUp for the Qase app

  4. After the redirect, hit "Authorize" to finalize the installation

  5. The app is now successfully installed

Usage

  1. To link a ClickUp task to a Qase test case:

    • select a case in the repository and switch to properties in the sidebar

    • click "Link ClickUp App issues"

    • insert ClickUp task URL title into the field and hit "Add"

    • now the ClickUp task is linked

2. To unlink the ClickUp task, click "x" next to the card title:

3. To create a ClickUp task together with a defect in Qase:

  • In the test run, mark your case as failed, blocked, or invalid and proceed with creating a defect by clicking "Add result"

  • In the defect creation form, choose "ClickUp App" in the integration field and click "Add defect"

  • Choose the ClickUp team, space and task list to create a task in, then hit "Create"

  • In the Qase defect you will now have a connected ClickUp task link

  • Statuses of a Qase defect and a connected ClickUp task are synchronized, so as soon as you mark the ClickUp task completed, the Qase defect will be marked resolved (and vice versa)

4. To link a Test Run to the ClickUp issue:

  • Navigate to the Test Runs page

  • Click on the Run

  • In the Run's main page, locate the side-bar to the right

  • Scroll down and under "External Issue" click on "Select an Integration"

  • Select "ClickUp App"

  • Paste the link to the issue in the text box and click "Add"
