Qase sends notifications through two channels: in-app (the bell icon in the top-right corner) and email. You control which events trigger notifications through your personal notification preferences.
Notifications are scoped to entities you're assigned to or mentioned in, you won't get noise from unrelated activity.
Configuring Preferences
Select your profile icon in the top-right corner.
Choose Notifications.
Toggle individual event types on or off for each channel (in-app and email).
Changes take effect immediately.

Test Cases
New comment on assigned case — A comment is added to a test case assigned to you
Mentioned in a comment — Someone @mentions you in a test case comment
Test Plans
Cases in a plan assigned to you — Test cases within a plan are assigned to you
Test Runs
Assigned run started — A test run you're assigned to begins execution
Cases in a run assigned to you — You are assigned to specific cases within a test run
Reviews
Review assigned to you — You are assigned as a reviewer
New comment on assigned review — A comment is added to a review you're assigned to
Mentioned in a review comment — Someone @mentions you in a review comment
Defects
New comment on assigned defect — A comment is added to a defect assigned to you
Mentioned in a defect comment — Someone @mentions you in a defect comment
How Notifications Are Delivered
Both channels are independent, you can enable email for critical events (like run assignments) and keep in-app only for lower-priority updates (like comment mentions).
In-app - a badge appears on the bell icon. Select it to see your notification feed with links to the relevant entity.
Email - sent to the email address associated with your Qase account. Email notifications include enough context to understand the event without opening Qase.
👉 If you're not receiving email notifications, check your spam/junk folder. Qase notification emails come from a qase.io domain.
