Workspace Management: Overview

An overview of Workspace Management in Qase — users, roles, groups, security policies, and field configurations.

Updated over a week ago

Workspace management is where you control who has access to your Qase account, what they can do, and how your workspace behaves at an organizational level — users, roles, groups, security policies, and field configurations all live here.

Overview

Every Qase account has a single workspace. The workspace is the top-level container for all your projects, users, and settings. Owners and admins manage it from Workspace in the top navigation bar.

Workspace management is split into two areas: organizational settings (who's in the workspace and what they can do) and security settings (how they authenticate and what gets logged).

What's in each section:

Organization

Section

What it controls

Users

View, filter, and manage all workspace members. Change user types (regular, read-only, billing), deactivate accounts, and transfer ownership.

Invites

Send new invitations, manage pending invites, and revoke access before it's accepted.

Groups

Organize users into teams for simplified project access management.

Roles & Permissions

Define what each role can do — from the default Owner/Admin/Member roles to fully custom permission sets.

Fields

Toggle system fields on or off, customize field values, and manage custom field definitions across the workspace.

Attachments

Monitor storage usage and manage uploaded files across all projects.

Security

Section

What it controls

Security

Configure authentication policies — SSO/SAML toggle, default roles for new users, and session restrictions.

SSO Configuration

Step-by-step setup for Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, OneLogin, and JumpCloud.

SCIM

Automate user provisioning and deprovisioning from your identity provider via the SCIM 2.0 API.

Audit Logs

Review a historical record of every action performed in the workspace, filterable by entity type, user, and date.
