Unable to join a workspace?

Updated over 2 years ago

Encountering difficulties while attempting to join a workspace via an invitation can be attributed to three underlying reasons, each discernible from the displayed error messages. Let’s delineate these reasons and their respective solutions:

Error: Workspace User Limit Reached

The limitation on the free plan permits only up to three regular users. To address this:

  • Upgrade to a paid plan: This allows the addition of more users.

  • Invite the new user as a read-only user: (These settings can be adjusted later.)

  • Remove an existing user: Create space for the new user by either deactivating an existing regular user or changing their status to read-only.

Encountering this error may signify that the workspace has exhausted its allocated regular licenses. The owner or administrator of the workspace can resolve this by adding more licenses through https://app.qase.io/billing.

Error: This Invite Is for Another User

This error occurs when the someone attempts to accept the invitation while signed into a different workspace which is associated with a different email. To resolve:

  • Sign out of the current workspace and re-attempt accepting the invite.

Error: Invite Not Found

This message indicates that the invite has been revoked by the sender. Here's how to address this:

  • Always follow the latest invite in your email inbox, if multiple invitations have been sent, as every new such invite will invalidate the previous invites sent.
