Your profile settings control how you appear to teammates, how you receive notifications, and how external tools authenticate with your account. Access everything from your user icon in the top-right corner.
Profile
Your profile determines how your name and identity appear across the workspace - in test run assignments, comments, audit logs, and anywhere Qase shows a user.
Name and avatar — set how teammates see you. If SSO is enabled, your name is managed by your identity provider; only the avatar and job title are editable.
Job title — optional, but helpful in larger teams so colleagues know your role.
Timezone — controls how timestamps display throughout the app. Set this to your actual location so run durations, result timestamps, and audit logs make sense to you.
Notifications
Qase can notify you about test run assignments, run completions, defect status changes, and mentions. Configure which events trigger notifications and through which channels.
Fine-tuning notifications early prevents two problems: missing critical updates (a run you own just failed) and drowning in noise (every case result across every project).
We recommend starting with notifications for assignments and defect changes, then adjusting as your workflow settles.
Security
Manage your authentication credentials:
Password — change your current password. Not available if your workspace enforces SSO-only authentication.
Google authentication — link or unlink your Google account for faster sign-in.
API Tokens
API tokens authenticate external tools — CI/CD reporters, automation scripts, and custom integrations, against your Qase account. Each token is scoped to your permissions.
Generate tokens here and use them in reporter configurations or API calls. Treat tokens like passwords: don't commit them to repositories, rotate them periodically, and revoke any token you're no longer using.
Appearance
Choose a color theme and workspace density. This is a personal preference that doesn't affect other users.
Switching Workspaces
If you belong to multiple Qase workspaces (common for consultants or team leads across organizations), use Switch Workspace to move between them. Each workspace has its own projects, users, and billing, data doesn't cross workspace boundaries.
