Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is a team communication and collaboration platform that brings chat, meetings, and channels into one place.

With the Microsoft Teams app for Qase, you can be notified about important events in your Qase workspace directly in your Teams channels. Notifications are delivered as rich cards that summarize the event (for example, a completed test run with its pass/fail breakdown) and link back to the relevant item in Qase.

Installation

Before you start

  • You need an account that can create a Workflow in the target Microsoft Teams channel (this is available to standard members in most tenants, but some organizations may restrict it, please check with your Teams administrator if the Workflows option is missing).

  • You need the **"install integrations" permission in your Qase workspace** (typically a workspace admin or owner), and your workspace plan must be on a paid subscription.

Create the webhook in Microsoft Teams

First, generate a webhook URL in Teams. Qase will post notifications to this URL, and the Workflow will deliver them to your chosen channel.

Choose or create a channel for notifications

In MS Teams, go to Teams and channels and open the team where you want notifications. Select an existing channel, or create a new one by clicking the team's ••• menu and choosing Add channel.

Open Workflows for that channel

Click the ••• button next to the channel, and select Workflows.

Choose the "Send webhook alerts to a channel" template.

Copy the webhook URL

From the "Workflow created" confirmation. Click Copy webhook link to copy the generated URL to your clipboard. Keep this URL handy for the next part.

Connect the webhook in Qase

In your Qase workspace, go to Apps and locate the Microsoft Teams card. Click Install now.

Paste the webhook URL and test

After installation, the Microsoft Teams card on the Apps page shows an Installed badge.

Configure which events are sent

Click the Microsoft Teams card again and open Settings to choose exactly which events are published to Teams.

In this panel you can:

1. Pick a Qase project. Each Qase project can have its own webhooks and its own set of enabled events.

2. Manage connected webhooks: Add webhook to send the same project's notifications to additional channels, or Remove a channel.
